OK Star Trek movie and TV fans , Captains Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway and Archer. Who is the best captain of them all ? Star Trek the next generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Star Trek original, Enterprise. All great shows and all had tough situations for their captains. I've heard more than my share of arguments on this subject so I decided to give you my own take on this subject. So here is my list from the best to the worst Star Trek movie and TV Captains.
The Best: Captain Picard ( Star Trek the next generation )- This is a pretty easy choice as Picard knew when to avoid a fight and when to start one. His Knowledge of the enterprise, its systems. His ability as a negotiator and his standings with Klingon's and Vulcan's make him the best qualified. As Captain of the Flagship Picard and the Enterprise was always in front on the most dangerous missions on Star Trek movie and TV shows . A+
Second Best: Captain Sisko ( Deep Space Nine ) - His Job as commander of Deep Space Nine is probably the toughest job in Star fleet. Both a fighter and a thinker Sisko had to handle the Bjoran's, Cardassians, Klingon's, and the Dominion during his watch. Protecting the deep space nine station and the worm hole. A-
Third Best: Captain Kirk ( Star Trek Original ) - As a Captain he was a maverick and a risk taker but some how still managed to keep within the prime directive most of the time. As an explorer he was a brilliant tactician continuously cheating death and doing so with a smile. While he was exciting his mission of space exploration on the Star Trek original show puts him 3rd on our captains list (Yes behind Picard). B+
Forth Best: Captain Archer ( Enterprise )- As the Captain of the Enterprise when humans first set out in space Archer excelled. When you consider he was always fighting the Vulcan's who didn't think Humans were ready yet to explore space and the weapons at his command were very limited. The fact that space travel was still so new to humans makes Archer stand out. B +
Fifth Best: Captain Janeway ( Voyager )- As Captain of Voyager being 5Th on this list in no way takes anything from her accomplishments. Being zapped across the universe so far from home and with half her crew gone Janeway managed to hold the crew together after patching it up with the Maquee members. Janeway was brilliant in using all the Federation Data banks to help her get out of one hostile situation after another. Star Trek did good with this female Captain. B
There you have it, Star Treks finest. Tell me what you think, what order you'd have them in ?
